This wasn’t the life we were meant for. We were supposed to be attached to the feet of someone with a thirst for adventure, hiking through the fields of Yorkshire and beyond. What we have, starting with an impulse buy one Sunday afternoon, is a life that’s mostly spent sitting in a corner of the… Continue reading A Guest Post from My Walking Boots
For “Night Shot” on the 365 Project (131 of 365) We weren’t sure what was happening here; the Scarborough lifeboat seemed to be stuck on the beach, with about 10 men winching it onto a tractor and then moving it back to the lifeboat shed. We watched them for a long time; some great teamwork… Continue reading Scarborough Lifeboat
For “Under Water” on the 365 Project (130 of 365) I kept this one back for a post of its own. My “Still Life” photograph for the 365 Project. We had an amazingly hot day yesterday so took ourselves off to Clumber Park. They have a little Chapel there, and a stunning harvest display.
A few more pictures from the Jaume Plensa exhibition at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. I love the presentation of the first two faces; I think this shows off the amazing countryside setting of the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, right through to the field behind being ploughed just as I was taking the picture. The heads… Continue reading Faces (122 of 365)
