You can see the thing working — whatever it is. Can almost hear the clanks, and hums as whatever it does happens. Doesn’t need an explanation it is what is it. Great shot.
Like many others, I’d love to know what this is — especially since I have this huge desire to go pull all the levers at once and see what happens. Fun photo.
All I know is that it’s something to do with the railway (and I only know that because it was in the railway museum). I think we need a train expert to come and explain it to us!
I think you are on the right track here!
Great the way you have included the brass plates in this composition….makes the image tell a story…great shot
Love the symmetry in this shot!
Makes me want to pull one or more of those levels down.
Excuse my ignorance but what is this? It looks interesting….thanks for visiting my blog!
Dont mean to sound dumb but what is it ?
I am with Gina, but like the image anyway. It’s cool!

Real life steam punk!
Glad I came in late, I didn’t know what it was either, lol – happy to learn it is something railway.
We have an answer now – apparantly they’re points. It’s the way bits of track are shifted to divert a train to different line.
That sort of makes sense now.
